Welcome to the practice page for the convocation choir group! I am so happy that you have chosen to ba a part of this experience. I am putting the practice video below and a timeline to help guide you through learning the music. I will post the choreography video later this summer. If you need me the Remind App is the best way to communicate throughout the summer. I will be checking email periodically too!
I would be using these guidelines to help learn the music, memorize it, and then learn the dance moves if we were working on this piece in class. Since we are not learning this together in class I am sharing the timeline with you to help your student be successful.
This timeline is a suggestion as I know your family most likely has plans this summer so please do not stress if your student is not progressing within the dates I listed below. If we can try our best to memorize music and moves throughout the summer it will help us make the most of our practice time at the end of July.
Work on learning the pitches and words of the music
Work on starting to memorize the words if able
Work on Memorizing the words, have the student turn away from the words or hold them and quiz them
Work on starting to learn choreography if able
Work on memorizing the choreography
Make sure words and moves are mostly solid by group practices
I am sharing the information I have currently about the practices and performances. I will update the site and I will update you through email and Remind when I get new information.

I have asked for clarification on if we get the full four hours to run the piece or if we are sharing the time with other schools and performing groups. When I get more information I will let you know!
